November Challenge CAPTAIN CYMRU

Life is about creating habits and habits that keep us healthy are sometimes the tough ones to keep !!

With so many people raising money for charity we had to be a little bit innovative with this one. But think we may have stumbled on a winner for both children and those new to sporting challenges and also one to test the very best!!

There are 2 challenges and you can choose which one to do.

Challenge One

1 mile a day for 30 days – This is the challenge we are taking in to schools and promoting to adults to introduce them to sport. Simply run/walk a mile a day for 30 days.

This challenge is 100% Child friendly and the more people that can get involved the greater the impact we can make.

The Beast - 465 Miles in 30 Days

This is not for the faint of heart. The challenge sounds simple: to run 1 additional mile per day for 30 days. Wherever you are in the world You can do this in your local park, local roads or on a treadmill at your local gym!

In every 24 hour period you need to go 1 mile further than previous day. e.g. day 1 = 1 mile, day 2 = 2 miles etc etc . But you do not have to do the distance in one run. Just in a 24 hour period.

To put this in perspective, if you keep adding a mile for the full 30 days you will have run 465 miles in 30 days - 189 in the final week alone.

Completing this ultimate challenge will earn you a special "BEAST" medal and put you in the company of only a handful of people who have achieved this. Currently, more people have set foot on the moon.

The Final Day

As many of us as possible will come together. Those attempting the 30 miles will start from a designated point and will run back towards Saundersfoot harbour. There will be points where you can join in the run from 20, 17, 13, 8 , 4, 2 and 1 mile out. From 2 miles out it is envisaged all entrants will gather and run to the finish line together, along with children that have been part of the challenge.
